Nepal - Benchen Free Clinic

The Benchen Free Clinic is located on the grounds of the Tibetan Buddhist monastery Benchen Phuntsok Dargyeling in Kathmandu, Nepal. The monastery is led by Tenga Rinpoche, a Tibetan Lama and scholar.

Founded in 1993, the clinic initially provided medical care for the monks of the Benchen Phuntsok Dargyeling monastery. Soon, impoverished and needy people from the surrounding area came for treatment, and thus the Benchen Free Clinic was established. Free care and medication have since become an integral part of the clinic's mission.

2015 was a particularly difficult year for Nepal due to the earthquake. Since then, the Benchen Free Clinic has been dedicated to ensuring that affected people continue to receive optimal care. It has been a great pleasure for me to contribute to this project!
